About the Podcast
A new podcast with hosts John and Andrea that covers all things pop culture – movies, TV, music, celebrity life, even high brow art! (Just kidding, we wouldn’t know art of any brow, high or low, from our kindergarten macaroni sculpture, but maybe we’ll give it our best shot sometime.) John: I am quite the nerd. When you think of something nerdy, I’ve probably been involved with it. Some of my big fandoms are Star Wars, Witcher, Zelda, Harry Potter, and X-Men. I love a lot of things about Japanese culture, travel, eating delicious foods, and drinking delicious cocktails and beer.
I have a tech and creative arts background, but I’ve been out of it for a little while so this podcast will be a bit of a new creative outlet for me.
- Favorite video game: Horizon Zero Dawn or Breath of the Wild
- Favorite movie: Jurassic Park or Skyfall
- Favorite TV show: Cowboy Bebop
Andrea: I am a lot of different kinds of nerd: academic (I have a Master’s in English, specializing in Victorian literature as well as Editing), subculture/cosplay (I love to dress up and spend a night as a character from a show or text – probably get that from my many years on trodding the boards onstage #theaternerd), gaming (nothing more fun to me than cracking open a beer and cracking the dust off the Game Cube to play a little Res Evil 4!), trivia (Seriously. I LOVE TRIVIA GAMES! Please let me be on your trivia team???), reading (at least a book a week – more if I can manage it, usually anything classic or fantasy/adventure related. Follow me on Goodreads for more!) movie/TV/Anime (I adore these media in all forms – special favorites include horror movie fests during Halloween, a great mystery/thriller television series anytime, and a hilarious slice of life comedy with some heart for the latter.)
